it’s 4am and i am sitting up with the most excruciating pain on the right side of my back and chest. i can’t tell if its muscular or skeletal. it hurts when i breathe deep, turn my neck, sit up straight and lay down. i think it stiffened up a lot when i went to bed. what is going on? :( 

Not to be a downer; but if it feels like the pain is going from your chest to your back, it sounds like when my wife needed to have her gallbladder removed…

Doctors kept telling her it was just severe heartburn…heartburn may have been there, but it was because her gallbladder was full of stones.

Or you just pulled something :P
