I changed my theme to one of the fine themes found in Tumblr’s theme garden. I’ve been meaning to work on my own for a while now, but I’m never happy with what I have. I figured using a pre-written theme would either (a) motivate me to finally finish my own, or (b) I’ll realize I’m not a designer and should leave the pretty-making to someone who knows more about pretty-ing than me.

On a side note, I’m working on trying pull together some code samples that speak to what I am capable of. Problem is, my current gig has me working long hours and answering / checking emails around the clock; not a whole lot of time for side projects. Most everything I’ve done in the past year or so is owned by previous employers.

So - question: do I create some samples based on the work I’ve done recently, or do I suck it up and come up with something to script up for samples?
